This volume of Bustard Studies was compiled from the proceedings of the conference ‘Great Bustards: conservation through nest management and rear and release methods’ which took place in November 2007 in Salisbury, UK.
It contains papers written by practising conservationists from Germany, Hungary, Russia and the UK, focusing on the conservation of nests in cereal fields and the rescue of eggs from exposed nests, the artificial rear and release of chicks back into the wild and post release monitoring.
